The following is a list of our ingredients in order of proportion—most to least:
Lotion Bar Ingredients: Beeswax, Almond Oil, Coconut Oil, Certified Organic Calendula Flowers, Essential Oils (in the scented lotion bars).
What's so great about these ingredients?
Organic Calendula Flowers
We use certified organic calendula flowers to infuse (like steeping a tea bag) the almond oil for our lotion bars. These beautiful, deep-orange flowers are a powerful, all-purpose skin-healing herb that soothes skin ailments from dryness and itching to rashes and burns, generally promoting skin healing, while making normal skin softer and healthier.
Local Beeswax
We use untreated beeswax in Love+Leche lotion bars that has antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties. The beeswax plays a role in softening, moisturizing, and healing the skin. It is commonly considered an excellent ingredients for chapped lips as well has helping the skin stay hydrated.
Almond Oil
The almond oil in Love+Leche Lotion Bars is a rich source of vitamins E & A that nourish skin; its mildness makes it suitable for all skin-types and the lightness of the oil makes it absorb easily without blocking pores. It is a key ingredient for hydrating and moisturizing the skin. When our calendula-infused almond oil is gently melted with local, untreated beeswax the healing action of the calendula is intensified.
Coconut Oil
Coconut oil has been used as a skin and beauty treatment for centuries. Coconut oil is a rich source of fiber, minerals and vitamins, and contains lauric acid, a compound that helps to build the immune system. It is predominantly medium chain fatty acids, so its absorbed easily by the skin. This oil is another key ingredient in our Love+ Leche bars to moisturize the skin along with its anti-inflammatory properties.
Essential Oils
Essential oils are naturally occurring substances found in different parts of plants-- the blossom, fruit, leaf, stem, bark, wood or resin. Essential Oils are produced through a complicated and often expensive process of distillation or extractions. Essential Oils are prized for their aromatherapeudic benefits and are often more tolerable for people with sensitive skin.

What you won't find in any of our products
Perfumes or Fragrance Oils These are manufactured scents; artificially created fragrances that contain artificial substances designed to mimic the scent of a natural product. These perfumes can be environmental hazard and can cause reactions in chemically sensitive people.
Animal Testing Well, actually, we have tested our products on animals, and they don't seem to mind it one bit!, Our lotion bars are great for paw-care--and safe for licking off as well.
Using Love+Leche Lotion Bars: How, Why + Who?
Love+Leche Lotion Bars are an all-natural, concentrated, solid form of lotion. Most salves come in a tin, but with our Lotion Bar you just hold the bar between your hands and rub— rub it anyplace where your dry skin needs soothing.
